7 days no post and I feel like it's been an eternity. I'm so sorry haven't been around but honestly, just not been up for it ...
I still don't have much to say except what's in my heart and right now my heart is fuming mad !!!!
I cannot believe how people can be so self absorbed. It's ludicrous to imagine that in today's world people can think of nothing and no one but themselves. Oh please !! Don't give me the rant about expectations and such coz I've heard it all !! Expecting common courtesy and basic thoughtfulness is NOT too much to expect ...
What am I mad about one may ask ? Well, I'm pissed off at my friend who I supported through all of their achievements for years together and today when I expect some back, all I get is a thoughtless comment about my weight which was not even relevant !
I'm aghast at the nerve of the person I was supposed to be working with on a project. Going behind my back and talking to everyone under the sun and trying to manipulated the situations to meet their personal gains is Just NOT done !!
I'm amused by the comment of a friend who thinks it's silly to figure out what's wrong with a given predicament. I'm expected to sit back and enjoy the gossip !!
I'm appalled that in today's world people think nothing of asking for lavish parties and gifts but when their time comes, they find a cheap way out or a convenient excuse. Whatever happened to being happy for a friend ??
I'm surprised that people think nothing of inviting their friends to a third person's house without talking to the said person before hand.
I wonder why it is that politics is played in Every field of life. Everyone wants what they want and it doesn't matter who else is in the way for they all will be pushed aside. In the end the one who suffers is the one who never cared in the first place ...

No, you are not being an idealist, but thats the way most people are (i learnt it the hard way too). lets accept it and move on...good thing you got it off your chest by writing here...now, go get some beer, and see how rosy the world is ;)
Absolutely not...every single person needs simple courtesies from their fellows and nothing is wrong in it...
We, humans, bind ourselves in a confined area whenever we get in a situation that we don't want to. Good and Bad, both u r gonna find in ur span of lifetime. But, we should concentrate more on the Good, although its quite difficult na.
Think about those who have stood up with u during every single problem of ur life.
Just don't bother about the others....kick them off...ye..:P
You know what Adisha! It is better to loose such "friends" than to put up with them knowing that they don't value you as much as you have valued them.
Lots of people are like that! I liked your remark about people wanting expensive gifts etc. but when it comes to their turn they find a cheap way out. Oh, I could write a book about that one. I suppose it just comes down to the fact that many people are basically selfish. Learn from such people and give their gift a miss next time. Or better still, give them something really cheap. Serves them right!

Sorry but the post does give somewhat an impression that its an over reaction over some issue...I dont really know d incident,and I maybe a little unjustified in commenting this but I just felt that you are pissed over some routine malbehavious of some friend of urs...but as I said its a routine thing,best we can do is to be as good as we can,and try and find some similar ppl around us(which I maintain,are aplenty)
The majority of this world is filled with selfish, selfish creatures. Very few people are selfless, or let alone even have a percentage of selflessness in them.
All you have to do is shrug it off. It sucks, but that's just how people are. And it's almost close to impossible to change people's innate habits. I personally steer clear of going out of my way for people that I know are just leeches.
I guess people have become more ruthless today in an attempt to succeed and are ready to do anything to reach the top.
Today's lives is more about self and less about others.
Don't get disappointed but there are a few gems (friends/families) in the world which makes living all the more enjoyable and fun!!

This person is not at all worth all the time you are thinking about him/her. Don't give it so much thought... you are just putting yourself through more irritation. :) I know it sucks... especially commenting on someone's weight, but what are you gonna do?
A long weekend is coming up - plan for a great time! Before you know it, you wouldn't have thought of it for a while!
i dont think u r being idealistic... no one liked to b back bitted n to b blamed for doing nothing wrong... it irritates n makes one lost temper, its obvious! gosh!! at-times life shows the dark side of ppl who are so close to us that we never get to notice it but once high-lighted, the crack grows deeper n deeper.. best thing wil b to try to ignore n move ahead in life coz at-times thats the only thing one can do. its no point explaining to those who just dont wanna listen "never argue with a fool"

I echo your feelings lady for I've felt the pangs of selfish humanity for a period now...but then what can a dog expect from the humans when man can't be loyal and honest with their friends?

Sorry to hear that you are so upset, but that is life we cannot expect loyalty in return just becausr we ourselves are loyal.Sometimes in life we have to either acept what is dished out to us or better still take a decision not to accept it and do something about it.Hope you find a solution pretty quick.

There used to be a time that such ppl pissed me off or upset me big time. Not anymore. Im feeling a huge sense of neutrality towards everything n everyone now.

I think, sadly, that all this self-absorbeness is nothing but a sign of the times. I often wonder myself why people lack the simple act of common courtesy. I come across almost on a daily basis people who lack this very basic social skill.

coz i saw one of my closest friends excluding me out of her life..
i saw one of my friends at work playing politics when I always made sure to help her in all ways I could..
felt disdaind,upset,even shed a couple of tears..
but guess thats life..the sooner we know the better it is!!

The "Urggggggh!!!" is very much understandable if you experienced all of that together in a short span of time .Sometimes (not always) there are reasons behind such behaviours. Probably the best way to deal with it is to move-on, either from situation or from the person.
